Wow some of you will forego playing the game at all to make a signal about this? Your furore is misplaced, and y'all are melodramatic to the nth caste.

I wanted an alibi to wait for the switch port, if I'grand gonna cease upwardly getting 2/three digital on ps4 either way I'd rather get 3/3 digital on switch.

Wow some of you will forego playing the game at all to make a point near this? Your furore is misplaced, and you are melodramatic to the nth degree.

If information technology's a code for 2+3 you bet your ass I am. Might aswell sell me a code in a box and stop printing discs.

  • #303
Not plenty to dissuade me from getting the game; particularly since I got it for so cheap. But, I definitely understand those who choose not to back up this.

The amount of apologists and hand wavers in hither isn't surprising. It's merely sad when they allow things to get ruined for anybody else because they can't recollect further than "oh no it'southward but another download".

Dreamboum
  • #304
Yep, there is. They demand to be tied to your account. Otherwise people could just pass the disc around and install two games for free on their console.

They would most probable demand the disc for that. The picture doesn't say that the entirety of Spyro 2 and three are a digital download.
GameZone
  • #305
Remember that CoD WW2's campaign wasn't fifty-fifty playable from the disc. Couldn't even become to the main screen.
Knight in Shining Armani
  • #306
Yeah, in that location is. They need to be tied to your business relationship. Otherwise people could merely laissez passer the disc effectually and install two games for costless on their panel.

Not necessarily. They could make information technology a huge ass patch that'south useless without the disc.
MaintenanceDivision
  • #307
Information technology doesn't need to be an activation lawmaking. You lot likely put in the disc to load the "launcher", and from there yous can pick Spyro 1-3. If you haven't downloaded the "updated" content you lot won't be able to select games two and three. And if you don't take the disc information technology won't load the launcher similar every other PS4 game.

Or it could be a code and Activision is but dicks. A bit too early to get THAT outraged IMO.

Um

ok

It'due south a game virtually a purple dragon, chill bro.

And yes, I've played through all of the games, multiple times, as recently as last week and then I know what I'thousand talking about. And you'd know this too had you not gotten so worked up reading my mail service that you misread it. allow'southward have another expect:

Meet how I listing *not* just the cine, but the huge of NPC dialogue (from ii and three) in improver to the 230 music tracks. If annihilation, nine hours is a bourgeois guess, since the music alone across iii games totals up to six hours. Add together in the original masters and the new dynamic music, that's well over 12 hours.

Read that again, almost 12 hours of music in this game lonely.

But yeah rage harder.

Cussing doesn't mean I'1000 overreacting lmao

I didn't misread anything, you forgot to add together an and.

If the NPC dialogue is taking that much space in a fucking platformer, then something has seriously gone incorrect with these remakes.

I'd rather "rage" than play harm control for Activision.

I'm skipping this until Toy for Bob rectifies this and I Dear the Spyro games. This feels worse than the Tony Hawk Pro Skater fiasco.
Even if I didn't accept the privilege of expert internet, I would however buy Spyro on the Switch and go to some nearby library or Starbucks to download the rest instead of play Tony Hawk.

  • #310
Probably want to avoid a double layer disc.
What they really desire to avoid is people ownership their game used instead of brand new
cgpartlow
  • #311
Considering I always make certain I tin finish my games on 1.00 since that version is what almost everyone will play in one case the servers are gone.

Are yous telling me yous don't own any digital games, or that you only play version one.0 software? Because, "wow" if so. That is some crazy dedication.

  • #312
Good thing I purchase all my games digitally.
Treasure Silvergun
  • #313
I'mma readying my popcorn for when the size of each game is revealed.
They weren't HD and probably just shipped with 1 language.
Nope. European versions of PSOne Spyro games had like, 4 or 5 languages on disc. I know, because I spent an afternoon replaying the commencement level of Spyro 1 in dissimilar languages.
Warrior of Light
  • #314
Not necessarily. They could make it a huge donkey patch that's useless without the disc.

Not very probable. I can't call up of a single release that included digital copies of one or more than full games that weren't codes on vouchers.
They would most likely demand the disc for that. The pic doesn't say that the entirety of Spyro ii and 3 are a digital download.

No, just chances are you need to download enough to make them playable. If information technology was something like leaderboards it'd be for all 3 games.
Dreamboum
  • #315
What they actually want to avert is people buying their game used instead of brand new

That would only be the case if codes are served instead of just being a patch. Non everyone is Nintendo or Capcom.

Well I do get some 5 bucks games on auction and no. Once I finish the campaing, I update if I'g keeping the game.

Outside of Era/extremely enthusiast communities? Not really. Basically every unmarried pop game at the moment either has no physical re-create or requires hefty updates to play.

Just to put this into perspective.

Capcom, who is notorious for being cheap with physical copies, released the Mega Human 10 Legacy Collection for PS4 and Xbox One on two discs.

Pretty meh on the situation considering some games crave taking 50GB+ of storage. Unfortunate for folks with irksome internet though
Warrior of Light
  • #325

2 whole games is at present "but an update" and to be expected from a trilogy?

Imagine if we treated movies this way. Congratulations, you lot bought a lovely box prepare of the theatrical cuts of the original Star Wars trilogy on Blu-ray. But yous only go A New Hope on disc. The other two are digital copies.

lol the "and" is there, fifty-fifty in your original postal service where you lot qouted me, lmao. Word to the wise, when listing something in a sentence you must split each detail with a comma, with the last ane receiving an "and" before it.

Y'all misread. Stop of story.

If the NPC dialogue is taking that much space in a fucking platformer, then something has seriously gone incorrect with these remakes.
Blame Insomniac then for making every NPC in the original 2 games have multiple lines of mission, pass/fail, rejection, and idle dialogue. Or should Toys for Bob be apologizing for daring to record the new voices at an HD bitrate? Either they compress the dialogue and it sounds like fucking ass, or they send a game with industry level dialogue quality, take your pick. And again, multi linguistic communication.

I also notice you ignoring the fact that they are required to ship this game with 12 hours of music, a rarity in games.

I'd rather "rage" than play harm command for Activision.
Thinking critically is playing damage control? K.

The good news is that we get an update and no DLC code.
  • #330
Wow that came out of nowhere. Activision is being hella cheap if that'south the instance.

Activision take always been cheap, they were too cheap to add subtitles their games.

As a profoundly deaf person, I was pissed off when I establish out that Korra didn't have Subtitle and I reached out asking if they would patch information technology in merely got nothing.

The causal marketplace aren't going to care too much about it.
Merely buy information technology digitally.

Concrete media is dying. This is just a nice bound off point to become you prepare. Nothing new

False, concrete media is still around and boot.
  • #331
Wow some of you volition forego playing the game at all to make a point almost this? Your furore is misplaced, and you are melodramatic to the nth degree.

No, I already played Spyro and take a shitload of games to play now, and even more during Spyro'southward launch.

I'll play the games that shows bodily endeavour in the finished product. This packaging is a physical collector'southward nightmare, the disc basically simply Spyro 1, so only 1/3 of its bodily content value, the rest is all net which volition end up in digital limbo with Scott Pilgrim vs The World years down the line.

Activision baffles me, they got information technology so right with Crash, at present to fuck Spyro upward.

  • #332
So only Spyro 1 comes on Disc and Spyro ii & 3 y'all have to download?

If that's true than pre ordered cancelled

Scott Pilgrim is a licensed property. Activision fully owns Spyro.

If it'southward annihilation similar Switch games, the game volition come with a code for Spyro 2&3 which can just be claimed one time. Thus upon trade in, the next user will not have access to that portion of the collection.

Ehhh, we are assuming codes.

Maybe y'all're right, and maybe not. Mayhap it is just a simple download if you have the disc in there. Maybe it is codes.

Precisely, I don't want to have to rely on modding consoles to play games years later

They're nerfing the physical one.
  • #338
Scott Pilgrim was a licensed holding.

Yes I know, I was simply giving an example, albeit not quite an accurate ane. :P

  • #339
I besides applaud this movement. Near Every game requires a day 1 update anyway so you're never going to have a "full" game on disc.

Physical media is on the decline. Only look at All-time Purchase killing GCU and GameStop killing off its Pro card.

Get used to it. This is a squeamish primer.

I see the troll has returned. Ready to brand a damn fool of yourself some more on the forum?
Shark
  • #340
I don't actually understand those trying to spin this every bit nbd. If Activision tin only put one/3 of a collection on the disc and so they should just forego the physical release birthday since this delivery method defeats the purpose of it. People are completely justified in beingness aroused almost this.

lol the "and" is at that place, even in your original post where you qouted me, lmao. Word to the wise, when listing something in a judgement you must dissever each item with a comma, with the terminal receiving an "and".

Yous misread. End of story.

I also detect you lot ignoring the fact that they are required to ship this game with 12 hours of music, a rarity in games.

Thinking critically is playing damage control? K.

This is the postal service I quoted:
Take a moment to consider that beyond three games, there is likely over 9 hours of cine, NPC dialogue, and over 130 tracks of music (

You lot're combining video and audio files all together to be 9 hours here when it can easily be read equally just applying to video files. If you lot had said "cutscenes and npc dialogue, along with music", information technology would brand a lot more sense. I am not the only one who read your post as simply applying to cinematics. You worded it poorly, terminate of story.
Blame Insomniac then for making every NPC in the original ii games have multiple lines of mission, laissez passer/fail, rejection, and idle dialogue. Or should Toys for Bob be apologizing for daring to record the new voices at an Hd bitrate? Either they compress the dialogue and it sounds like fucking ass, or they ship a game with industry level dialogue quality, have your pick. Once again, multi language.

Insomniac isnt the 1 remaking these games. Industry level dialogue comes on disc. If that's what it takes, then I'd accept the damn PS1 sound over this bullshit. Why should I give a shit about multi linguistic communication? Brand that shit download only.
I as well discover you ignoring the fact that they are required to ship this game with 12 hours of music, a rarity in games.
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Collection

I'm not ignoring it, I just dont intendance.

Thinking critically is playing damage command? Grand.
You lot're not thinking critically, you lot're getting mad that people would dare not want to purchase the game at present and making excuses.

Yeah I know, I was only giving an example, admitting not quite an accurate one. :P
As well, isn't Scott Pilgrim one of the few, (if not only?) games where it's impossible to legitimately buy? I'one thousand struggling to retrieve of another.

Besides, how is this dissimilar from an out-of-impress game on an ancient console, that hasn't been offered digitally even so? Similar, unless someone hunts downwards a PS1/2/3, and a copy of Ape Escape, the original game is only equally "impossible" to play as is hunting down Scott Pilgrim on a machine with a re-create in the HD.

Simply for curiosity why some users here are attacking physical media? I prefer physical, but still buy digital in a style where sometimes the price cuts get my attention.

Just to put this into perspective.

Capcom, who is notorious for being cheap with physical copies, released the Mega Man X Legacy Collection for PS4 and Xbox I on two discs.

What are the sizes of both by the way?
